Spanish Teacher Email
Spanish is for everyone, and its study should be full of life! While I started out in college as a music teacher, a fateful study abroad to Oaxaca, Mexico shifted my path as I came to this conclusion. The relationships I made due to the language I knew made me want to change the way students looked at taking a Spanish class.
I graduated from UW Stevens Point in 2013 with degrees in Spanish as well as music. A year later, I added a certification in ESL. I taught a year in Athens, WI, then another year in Reedsburg, WI before settling into Randolph for the long run. My job includes teaching middle school exploratory Spanish, and levels I-IV in the high school. I also run the Spanish Club and organize the educational trips abroad we take every two years.
I still maintain my love for music, playing both trombone and piano. Many have seen me playing along with the pep band at sporting events, and during Solo & Ensemble season I am running all over the place rehearsing with students. I also play at the Methodist church here in town.
Other miscellaneous groups I supervise are The Gathering (the school gaming club), as well as Academic Bowl. I assist the Forensics team by serving as a judge.
Please reach out to me if you have any questions, concerns, or even observations. I love being in contact with students, parents, and community members. The point of Spanish is to create a community, after all. I hope to see you around!
